Let AI manage your inbox.
Connect any IMAP mailbox in two minutes. Your AI assistant sorts, drafts, files, and answers — securely, on your own mailbox, hosted in Germany. Your mail data never gets copied to us.
Integrations
Works with the AI assistants you already use.
mcPost speaks the Model Context Protocol (MCP), so any spec-compliant client can use it. Add it once on our side, then point any client at the same URL.

How it works
Three steps, two minutes.
No plugins to install. No mails copied off your mailbox. Your AI assistant talks to your existing IMAP server through us.
-
1
Connect your mailbox
Drop in your IMAP/SMTP credentials. They're encrypted with AES-256-GCM the moment they hit our server and never written to logs.
-
2
Add to your AI client
One URL into Claude (or any MCP client). OAuth 2.1 with PKCE + Dynamic Client Registration handles the rest — no client IDs to copy around.
-
3
Talk to your inbox
"Sort yesterday's invoices into the Accounting folder." "Draft a reply to Anna." The AI does it; you keep the audit trail.
What you get
Built for people who'd rather spend less time in email chaos.
Hosted in Germany
All data stays in German data centres. GDPR-compliant, Auftragsverarbeitungs-Vertrag (AVV) on request.
Credentials encrypted at rest
IMAP credentials sealed with AES-256-GCM before they touch disk. Decrypted only in-memory for the moment a tool call needs them.
Works with any provider
Standard IMAP + SMTP. Your Plesk mailbox, mailbox.org, STRATO, Proton Mail Bridge, IONOS, Posteo, your own Dovecot — anything that speaks the protocol.
We don't store your mail
Tool calls go straight to your IMAP server. Mail bodies, attachments, and headers stay on your mailbox — we don't cache, index, or persist them.
Passkey sign-in
No passwords. Passkey-first authentication via Hanko; sign in with your fingerprint or a security key.
Full audit log
Every tool call is logged: which mailbox, which tool, which client. Exportable on the Business plan for compliance.
Pricing
Per mailbox. No cap. Switch anytime.
Pay only for the mailboxes you actually connect. Yearly plans get two months free. All prices include VAT.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
What is MCP and how does it work? +
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the open standard AI assistants use to talk to external tools. mcPost is a hosted MCP server: you add one URL to your AI client, log in once, and it can read and manage your mailbox via natural language — securely, on your own server.
Which email providers are supported? +
Any provider that speaks IMAP and SMTP — which is almost all of them. Plesk, mailbox.org, STRATO, IONOS, Posteo, Proton Mail (via Bridge), Fastmail, Gmail (with app password), your own mail server. We do not require provider-specific OAuth.
Where is my data stored? +
Your mail stays on your own mailbox — we never copy it. The only data we store is what's strictly required to operate the service: your encrypted mailbox credentials, your audit log, and the OAuth tokens issued to your AI client. All of it lives in our own infrastructure in Frankfurt.
How safe are my IMAP passwords? +
Credentials are encrypted with AES-256-GCM before they're stored. We use envelope encryption with key material managed in a dedicated secrets store, and we strictly separate responsibilities across the platform: the service that handles your account and management actions can encrypt new credentials but cannot decrypt existing ones. Only the isolated component that actually performs your mailbox call holds the decryption key — and only in memory, for the duration of that single call.
What's the difference between Free and Premium? +
Free covers read-only access on a single mailbox. Premium (€1.49/mailbox/month or €14.99/mailbox/year) unlocks the write tools — drafts, moves, sends, flagging, deletion — with no cap on mailbox count. Business (€2.99/mailbox/month or €29.99/mailbox/year) adds a signed DPA and an exportable audit log.
Can I cancel any time? +
Yes. No minimum term. Delete your account from the portal — credentials, audit logs, and tokens are wiped immediately.
Do you offer a data processing agreement (DPA)? +
Yes — on the Business plan we provide a signed DPA / Auftragsverarbeitungs-Vertrag on request. Required if you're handling third-party email under GDPR.
